South Sea Island
The South Sea Island Full Day cruise means you will get to see, explore and do everything on this small but amazing island. South Sea Island is small but you certainly won't get bored.
South Sea Island is one of the treasures of the Mamanuca Islands. Crystal clear waters, coral reefs and thousands of colourful tropical fish surrounding the little island. Scattered with palm trees and surrounded by a coral lagoon, uninhabited South Sea Island is truly one of Fiji's gems.
A day trip to South Sea Island is only a 30 minute ferry ride from Denarau Marina with South Sea Cruises. Being only 30 minutes away from Denarau means that you can make the most of the day lazing on the beach, snorkelling, diving and enjoying the countless number of water and other activities on offer. There is a salt water swimming pool and non-motorised water sports equipment available free of charge, including kayaking and sailing. There is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first!
Get into 'island time'
Great things come in small packages, which couldn't be truer for South Sea Island. You can stroll from one side of the island to another in about a minute but you will still manage to find your own spot in paradise.
There are Hammocks which sway peacefully under the cool shade of palm trees and there's plenty of sandy areas to relax under the trees and maybe a little bit more relaxing with a massage. Catch some rays of sunshine with a cocktail or cool drink beside the pool. If that is not enough then take to the calm, clear waters with your snorkel to explore the magnificent underwater world below.
Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkelling or if you want to stay dry, jump on board “The Seaview,” an 18m semi-submersible underwater viewing vessel or coral viewer. And see if you can find Nemo!
Introductory diving is also popular on this island with pretty reef formations and plentiful fish making it a first time diver's dream. Start in the pool and then explore the stunning coral gardens and the fish life surrounding the island on a 'Discover Scuba' intro dive.
There is also plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk shipwreck. Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of fish.
A rich Fiji culture
Although the island is uninhabited, you can still get a taste of Fijian culture with a traditional Meke performance and even craft market Monday to Saturday to get those special souvenirs for your loved ones.
